Material studies, mask play, mime and contemporary clowning as well as “le theatre des objets” offer a range of different principles for dealing with the non-vivant object on stage. Open to performers, dancers and actors, this workshop explores opening the senses to the language of things, in order to receive their play/movement by consciously displaying them. The aim of Metamorphosis is to learn to enter a mise en scene as consciously as possible, even if all there is is an empty room. Sandy Schwermer is from Germany and has worked extensively as a singer, puppeteer and actor, collaborator regularly with artists from all disciplines.
